Dear Interested Volunteers,
Thank you so much for your initiative to help The Haven Community grow! Our team is excited in working with you and seeing your leadership thrive through this moment as we see your abilities to help the teenage society and community grow a better environment and promote mental strength. In this contract, we’ll provide you with information on your terms of being a volunteer and what to expect. We look forward to working with you.
The Spring 2023 volunteer term begins on January 31st and ends on May 29th. Volunteers will meet weekly on Tuesdays at 5:30 pm PST for approximately 30 minutes. Here are the following meeting dates for this term:
- January 31st
- February 7, 21, 28th
- March 7, 14, 21, 28th
- April 11, 18, 25th
- May 2, 9, 16, 23rd
Note: These dates are subject to change. Volunteers will be notified of any changes in the schedule.
At The Haven Community, we acknowledge and share the great works and ideas our team members and community provides. Additionally, we reward hours for each member in our team to acknowledge the amount of leadership that goes behind the scenes of promoting an organization that encourages the well-being of society.
Here are our following terms for awarding our volunteers:
- Public Credit. Volunteers have their own profile at The Haven Community and people will be able to see your name, photo, biography, and social links at thehavencommunity.net/volunteers
- Community Service Hours. Volunteers earn hours depending on effort and submissions. View the table below for an idea of how hours are granted.
You may list on your applications, profiles (i.e. LinkedIn), CV, and any other medium of this sort with your volunteer status at The Haven Community. Please provide an accurate representation of your status (Volunteer) and an appropriate time frame in which you volunteered.
Requirements:
- Attends weekly Zoom meetings
- Submits the required work for chosen department.
- Strong collaboration & promotes THC through Social Media
Base Credit:
0.5 hours = Attends weekly Zoom meetings
1 hour = Submits the required work for chosen department.
1 hour = Strong collaboration & promotes THC through Social Media
Note: You must turn in at least one piece of required work for your chosen department to be granted hours from attending meetings. In addition, volunteers are updated weekly regarding how they may receive more community service hours.
Mission Statement

The Haven Community strongly believes that everyone deserves emotional strength and their voices to be heard. We believe that emotions range in many complexities and the distinctiveness of feelings belonging to a person are worthy. The Haven Community is strong in certifying that the leadership and information that gets pushed out to our viewers are for the whole consideration of society, community, and the well being of everyone.
REQUISITION DETAILS: Volunteers act as interns in shadowing the professional staff and executive at The Haven Community in any entity of their choosing (excluding Unified Talent). Entities include Writing & Composition, Editing, and Media & Design. Volunteers may apply anytime when applications are open on Forms at The Haven Community. Volunteers are initiated under Unified Talent and are not hired under any entity, though their participation in that entity is given. Volunteers are given extra consideration when applying to Professional Positions (Class: C and above) to The Haven Community and/or its subsidiaries.
As used in this writing, The Haven Community refers to The Haven Community Unified Talent in which the subsidiary of The Haven Community organizes internal operations. Forum is employed under The Haven Community Unified Talent.
